The youth in the group homes deserve to have a team that is dedicated. Help us provide a foundation for children to become whole again. This led to the development of Homes of Hope Foster Family Agency, which opened its doors after licensure in June of 1994.
Approximately 1,500 children are in foster care in Idaho and 10,000 in the state of Washington. The majority of children in foster care have experienced trauma due to exposure of abuse, neglect and abandonment. For 20 years Children’s Hope Foster Family Agency has provided a glimmer of hope in the lives of over 6,000 foster youth across Northern California. Children’s Hope strives to provide our resource parents, foster children, and transition age youth with a professional level of care, compassion, understanding, and services which meet or exceed their greatest expectations. Our agency is committed to helping our foster children and transition age youth attain and live a normal, loving, balanced lifestyle in today’s ever-changing society. We provide hope and nurturing guidance to our resource parents, foster children, and transition age youth through compassionate professional services. Humble Homes is also working on developing a mental health program. Our goal is to invest in the Foster Youth, Youth and Foster parents of the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County by community outreach. There Is Hope Foster Family Agency was founded in 2003 and is rooted and grounded in the principle of giving hope from the heart. Our founder, Rana Fakhory, has a very special family. Her younger brother Odey, who is the baby of the family, has a rare form of cerebral palsy that affects only one in a million children.
Our Vision is to give hope by providing foster youth with a natural and nurturing home environment that matches with their individual needs. Homes of Hope Executive Director, Sukhwinder Singh, laid the foundation of this agency. After just one year of operation and much success, she was able to develop a second Boys Group Home. A few years later, the Foster Family Agency was opened in the city of West Covina.

As long as you pass the screening, you are eligible to adopt the child. We had thought about fostering for three years before walking into There is Hope. Now we have a baby girl Emily with us and our family has been completed.
With your contribution you help us provide needed supplies and services to our foster families and children. Homes of Hope Executive Director, Sukhwinder Singh laid the foundation of this agency. A foster parstively utilized working within the field of child welfare in a professional role. She developed and opened the West Covina Boys Group Home in 1987 out of her desire to care for abused and neglected children. After just one year of operation and much success, she was able to develop a second boys group home site in the city of Chino.
These children can come with special needs, or physical or mild mental emotional handicaps. We are looking for mature and responsible adults who can assist us with our mission to provide quality foster care in a safe and nurturing environment for these children. Our foster care program emphasizes a Vision of H.O.P.E that focuses on addressing the physical, mental, and emotional needs of children.
After struggling for several months, Homes of Hope Foster Family Agency began to grow to first ten, then twenty to now approximately 100 certified foster homes and approximately 200 children. We want to provide quality foster care through dynamic partnerships with our approved resource families, staff, and community so that we can instill hope, trust, joy, and meaning in the lives of children in our care. Foster parents can be relatives or nonrelatives taking steps to care for children who have faced trauma and neglect in their young lives. Foster families try to provide children as much care and normalcy as possible. Homes of Hope fills a gap with personal involvement, spur-of-the-moment resources, education and support when a child is placed in their home.
When he was 10 years old, Rana would often go to her brother's special education classroom to visit him at school. One day while there, a child lashed out at her and it changed her life forever. "My philosophy is that all kids should be loved...these kids need to be loved and cared for." This philosophy is embedded in the agency’s beliefs and values and is the source of our hope. “There is hope” is a ray of sunshine for foster kids who deserve a bright future like every other kid who progresses within a nurturing family environment. In the beginning, the foster family agency was quite small, numbering only three foster parents and fifteen children.
